Morgan and Ryan met via Morgan's brother, Nathan. Ryan and Nathan were co-workers at The Godfather restaurant, when it was still situated on Heuwel Ave. in Centurion. Ryan took a liking to Morgan when he met her, but she was adamant that she would never date her brother's friends. One night, in late 2017, Morgan and Ryan both happened to attend a night out at BeerHouse, Centurion (when that still existed) and chemistry began to build. Later that week, Ryan invited Morgan to attend a housewarming with him, and she eagerly accepted. They were among the first guests to arrive, and helped with setting up. Morgan climbed a ladder to string up some garden lights, and Ryan stabilised the ladder from below. When Morgan descended the ladder, they found themselves face to face. Their first kiss was inevitable.

Shortly thereafter, Morgan moved to China, and Ryan returned to his bush flying job in Namibia. Both tried to move on, but felt inexorably drawn to each other, regardless of the distance. In March 2019, Ryan visited Morgan in China, and they both decided that, regardless of the distance, they wanted to commit to one another. He visited her twice more that year, before COVID separated them indefinitely. Finally, in April 2021, Morgan returned to South Africa, and Ryan and Morgan moved in together, along with their 3 furbabies - Pistachio, CJ and JT.

Their romance has been characterised by adventure - having travelled around China's Hunan province, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Colombia, the Chokka Trail in SA's Eastern Cape, and, their favourite, the Kruger National Park. 

In November 2024, Ryan popped the Big Question. He took Morgan and the furkids to one of their favourite spots - Walkhaven. He had set up a lovely picnic under a willow tree by the water's side. Morgan was completely surprised, and having the doggies there made the event extra special.

A day in the life: Morgan and Ryan's lives are unpredictable - you never know where they're going to be! Typically, Morgan can be found at a dance studio, practicing her passion for Ballroom and Latin dance. When not doing that, she can be found engaging in one of MANY hobbies and interests that she pursues - studying, reading, knitting, painting, planning adventures, collecting pin badges and erasers... When Ryan is not flying, he can usually be found behind his laptop, gaming. He also enjoys being outdoors, tending to the garden and his fishpond. (Morgan and Ryan also have 12 "scalebabies" - Rob, Gob, Nob, Bob, Mufasa, Simba, Timone, Mafusu, Lucy, Goosey, Bill, and Phil. Yes, they can tell you which is which.)
